Storing Your Bottle Of Rosita Oil

Correct storage of Rosita fish oils is crucial for ensuring that they retain their full nutritional value for as long as possible. Please note that different products have different storage requirements, and it is important to make sure that you use the correct storage method for your specific product(s). For detailed storage instructions of each product, please see below.

EVCLO Softgel 90's:

- Store at room temperature (15°C - 25°C, 58°F - 78°F).*
- Do not refrigerate unless necessary.**
- Store in a dark place.
- Use within 3 years of production date.

*Short fluctuations either side of these temperatures will have minimal impact on capsules.

**Where room temperature frequently or significantly exceeds 25°C / 78°F, capsules may be refrigerated for short periods. As low temperatures can cause condensation, it is recommended that capsules are not kept in the fridge for more than one month. Where there is no evidence of condensation, capsules may still be safe to use after three months in a fridge, however, this is not recommended.

Rosita Extra-Virgin Ratfish Liver Oil (50 ml and 10 ml):

Handcrafted, extra-virgin Rosita Ratfish Liver Oil™ will retain its full nutritional quality and flavour for a very long time after harvest, especially if stored properly. ROSITA guarantees that your bottle of Ratfish Liver Oil will be fresh upon purchase, because we bottle our oil in very small batches.

Light accelerates the rate of oxidation, causing oil to go rancid more quickly. For this reason, our oils are packaged in small dark glass bottles. These are best stored in a cool, dark, dry place, away from direct sources of heat and light. Care should be taken to immediately recap the bottle after each use. Opened bottles should always be stored in temperatures below 4-6 degrees Celsius (39-43 degrees Fahrenheit). Rosita Ratfish Liver Oil™ can be frozen for long term storage. The oil may become thick and cloudy when refrigerated or frozen: Gently shake before use.

Testing has shown that vitamins and other substances found in Rosita Extra-Virgin Ratfish Liver Oil™ are not affected by freezing and remain completely intact.

In order to prevent contamination and degradation of the oil, please ensure that you do not touch the dropper, or allow it to come into contact with any other objects.

Shelf life of UNOPENED bottles:
In Freezer (-19°C / -2.2°F) = 3-5 years.
In Fridge (4°C / 39°F) = 1-3 years.
In dark cool environment (15°C / 59°F) = 1 year.
In dark warm environment (30°C / 86°F) = 3-6 months.

Rosita Real Foods™ EVCLO is specially prepared to withstand temperatures through shipment for periods of more than a full month. The bottles are flushed with nitrogen to avoid oxidation, and do not need cold packs or ice during shipping. Once you receive your oil, it is important to allow the bottle to cool down to fridge temperature (4°C = 39°F) before opening.

Long term storage for UNOPENED bottles:
Fridge (4°C/39°F) = 1 year
Freezer (-19°C/2.2°F) = 3 years
